Biografia de Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson nació en Ciudad de Nueva York, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, el 22 de abril de 1937.
Cuando terminó el bachillerato, se marchó a la Costa Oeste, con la intención de empezar su carrera cinematigráfica. Trabajó en la Metro Goldwyn Mayer como chico de oficina, mientras actuaba y estudiaba interpretación con los Players Ring Theater.
En la década de los 60 también participó en guiones, producción e interpretación con otro discípulo de Corman, el director Monte Hellman, con el que grabó varios títulos, entre ellos "El tiroteo" (1966) y con Richard Rush, con el que apareció en películas como "Hell's angels on wheels" (1967) o "Pasaporte a la locura" (1968).
En 1961, Jack Nicholson había contraído matrimonio con la actriz Sandra Knight, con la que coincidiría en "El Terror" (1963). Sandra y Jack se divorciarían en 1966, tras tener una hija llamada Jennifer.
La década de los 70 fue la etapa de consagración como actor de Jack Nicholson. Fue nominado al Oscar por títulos como "Mi vida es mi vida" (1970) de Bob Rafelson (ganaría George C. Scott por "Patton"), "El último deber" (1973) de Hal Ashby y "Chinatown" (1975), película de Roman Polanski, obteniendo el premio por "Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco" (1975), la adaptación de la novela de Ken Kesey que dirigió Milos Forman.
En 1973 daría inicio una relación sentimental con Anjelica Huston, que finalizaría en 1990.
Las películas más populares de su última etapa como actor fueron "Algunos hombres buenos" (1992) de Rob Reiner, "Hoffa" (1992) de Danny de Vito, "Lobo" (1994) de Mike Nichols, "Cruzando la oscuridad" (1995) de Sean Penn, "Blood and Wine" (1996) de Bob Rafelson, "Mars Attacks" (1996) de Tim Burton o "Mejor...Imposible" (1997), un título dirigido por James L. Brooks por el cual ganó su tercer premio Oscar.
