Esta es la historia de una grupo de chicas que forman un grupo musical Jem and the Hollograms. Sus eternas rivales son las Missfics. Personajes de Jem: Jem, Jerrica, Aja, Ashle, Erick, Kimber, Pizzaz, Raya, Rio, Roxi, Shana, Stormer, Synergy

Jerrica Benton es una exitosa empresaria y representante del grupo de rock femenino más exitoso del momento: The Holograms. Sin embargo, pocos conocen el verdadero secreto que posee esta chica. Con la ayuda de sus aros cibernéticos y de la computadora última generación llamada Synergy, que se encuentra en ellos, se transforma en Jem, líder de la banda más popular del momento. Juntas hacen lo imposible para ayudar a los más necesitados y poder salir adelante con la fundación para huérfanos que Jerrica posee.

Sus archirrivales, The Misfits siempre hacen de las suyas para tratar de ganar protagonismo en el mundo de la música. No les gusta ser segundonas por siempre y por eso entre trampas y maldades intentar hacer desaparecer a Jem y a toda su banda para convertirse en las número uno.
Lo que sigue es clásico: guerra de bandas, zapadas y show rockeros que dejan a todos perplejos.
